Battersea.
Battersea SW11 — around the Park, Lavender Hill and up to Clapham Junction — is busy ground for me. Victorian terraces, converted flats and the newer riverside developments all need a careful pair of hands and a tidy finish.
Battersea is a busy corner of my SW patch, and SW11 spans the lot — Victorian terraces around Lavender Hill and St John’s Hill, the converted flats off Northcote Road, and the modern riverside blocks near the Power Station. Old or new, the work is the same: do it properly and leave it clean.
What SW11 homes usually need
In the period terraces it’s decorating with careful prep, carpentry and fitted storage, sash window easing and draught-proofing, and patching up years of previous DIY. In Battersea’s many flats and new developments it’s flat-pack assembly, shelving and TV mounting fixed securely, boxing in pipework, and the small landlord and new-owner jobs that always seem to pile up.
Every quote is in writing before I start, there’s no call-out fee, and I leave the home as tidy as I found it.
