Plumbing
in London.

Most "plumbing emergencies" are handyman plumbing jobs — a worn washer, a loose olive fitting, a sticky fill-valve. Getting a Gas Safe engineer out for something that takes me twenty minutes is money wasted.

How I work

I handle everything that isn't gas or boiler internals — taps, toilets, radiators (removal and re-hanging, not boiler work), shower mixers, waste pipes, isolation valves, push-fit and compression fittings. If the job turns out to need a Gas Safe engineer I'll tell you up front. Water off, job done, left dry.

Questions

Can you fix a leaking tap?
Usually yes — most leaking taps need a new ceramic cartridge or rubber washer. If the tap body is corroded I'll recommend replacement and fit a new one the same day.
Do you work on boilers?
No — boiler internals are Gas Safe only. I do everything around the boiler, radiators, pipework, valves, flushing. If you need a boiler engineer I can recommend one.
What about emergency leaks?
Call me. If I'm local and free I'll come the same day. Meanwhile turn the water off at the mains stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink.
